Being a Graduate Trainee in Mondelez Malaysia has allowed me to expose myself to various roles after 5 years working in the company. The different roles have taught me different ways of seeing things which at the end of the day, give you a more holistic view when making certain decisions or taking action. Not many companies provide this kind of opportunity especially when you are still considered as ‘green’. I was blessed to have inspiring leaders who do not just act like bosses, but are people that mentored and guided me along the way. Putting it another way – on a day-to-day basis, I work with some of the world’s number one snacking brands. That definitely has its perks!

As a Sales Graduate Trainee, we were given first-hand experience in handling core commercial aspects of the industry. The program is indeed challenging, but can be overcome with the right attitude and determination. The guidance and opportunities provided have greatly developed my business acumen. I had a great time working on sales development projects and also emerged as a winner of the iTaste Challenge in Bangkok. My exposure to both traditional and modern retail channels has broadened my horizon and values, and the iTaste program has provided me with a clear and confident path for my career future.

I chose Mondelez Malaysia because I was not looking for a job, but rather a career. Starting my career as a Graduate Trainee has been the best thing after completing my education. Here, I was given opportunities to learn and at the same time contribute by working on various projects. Along the way, I was given coaching and guidance from our business leaders as well. I took up challenges with a different perspective and solved it with more effective methods. It’s a great place to be if you are keen about improving yourself within a short period.

I've had the opportunity to perform different roles, and have gained unforgettable learning sessions from great coaches that gave me added self-empowerment. iTaste has helped me to grow in many ways since I entered the job not knowing much about sales. Through the company’s training and a group of fellow trainees from various educational backgrounds, my learning was further enhanced and I have now become well-versed with the ins and outs of the industry. My experience gained from leading the business in Sabah has also been invaluable.
