“In the 6 years since I joined MDLZ I have enjoyed a variety of different roles in a mix of functions and departments. Whether selling chocolate from the back of a car to independent retailers or managing Christmas marketing campaigns in our biggest customers, there have been no end of opportunities and challenges to throw myself into. “I have been with MDLZ for 4 years joining the business in Coolock, Dublin on the Junior Management Graduate Program (JuMP). The JuMP program consisted of a number of cross functional rotations including Category Development Management, Shopper Activation, Brand Marketing and National Accounts. Following the JuMP program I moved to Uxbridge, London to take up a role in our Sales Revenue Planning function with responsibility for the Oreo & Mikado brand. I am now currently Customer Development Manager for Asda managing our Candy & Chocolate Singles Business since October.

MDLZ is a really open and honest place to work, no matter what role you are in there is always the opportunity to influence on the brands that we sell. If you see something that you believe can be improved, senior management openly encourage you to identify these and help to grow and develop the business. A consistent theme I have found during my time in MDLZ is that “people” are always the reason that anyone gives as their main selling point on the best thing about MDLZ and this is no different for me.

MDLZ is a constantly evolving business. Working in such a challenging environment that the snacking industry currently is means that businesses constantly have to improve their performance whether it is from a business operations perspective, product innovation or customer relationships. What I love most about MDLZ is that because of this constant change you can really develop a career that does not follow a linear path. Cross-functional moves are not only encouraged, they are the norm.”
